Introduction
The Enforcement Manager at CDER is responsible for the effective management and monitoring of an assigned Enforcement Agent workforce and the achievement of collections performance, client contractual requirements and adherence to regulatory and behavioural compliance.
Reporting to the Head of Enforcement, the Enforcement Manager role will be based in London or Darlington but will require regular and extensive travel across the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the effective recruitment, deployment, management and support of an assigned number of Enforcement Agents
- Accountability for the compliance performance of the assigned Enforcement field workforce, ensuring all Agents deliver the services required in line with regulations, legislation and CDER policies
- End to end responsibility for the delivery of the enforcement stage of the enforcement process for CDER Group’s clients ensuring the services are delivered in accordance with each client’s specific requirements
- Responsibility for the achievement of the assigned Enforcement teams’ collections performance targets
- Provision of high quality, effective people management and performance monitoring activity including specific Enforcement Agent guidance, support and training where necessary
- Ensure all Enforcement Agent related correspondence and complaints are handled within required timeframes and in a timely and professional manner with due regard to any relevant legislation
- Working closely with the Head of Enforcement and Chief Operating Officer to actively participate in the development of processes and improvements aimed at maximising income and reducing costs
- Lead on the recruitment, retention, and performance management of the assigned Enforcement team including effective recording and reporting of holidays, sickness, training and absence
- Represent CDER at client meetings when required
- Act as a role model for the department providing leadership and guidance as appropriate
- Responsibility for managing and motivating the assigned Enforcement Agent field workforce maximising performance and EA retention through regular team meetings, 1-2-1s and effective communications with the field force
- Lead on the co-ordination of field agent audits working with the Audit and Compliance team ensuring regulation, client and CDER compliance objectives are met at all times
- Active management of the available enforcement case workload ensuring cases are allocated appropriately to maximise revenue, collection rates and the achievement of client contractual requirements.

Personal qualities, experience and skills
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in the enforcement industry
- Exceptional influencing, people management, coaching, communication and interpersonal skills
- Team player who demonstrates high levels of integrity, is ambitious and innovative
- Tech enabled with the ability to work within, and learn, new and advancing systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, deliver quickly and adapt to changing demands
- Demonstrate effective writing and training skills; ability to prepare written materials
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 2000 or later, particularly Word, Outlook and Excel
- Level 2 Taking Control of Goods
- Holds a General Enforcement Agent certificate or is willing to become certificated
