Position: Edge Systems Trainer

Hours: 35 hours per week

Introduction

CDER Group use a complex bespoke case and customer management system (Edge) to manage collections for our clients. We are looking to create a new role that will both create and deliver training into Group companies who are adopting Edge for the first time. You will need to develop a deep technical and operational understanding of Edge and our Group businesses to create, produce and deliver training for both new recruits and refresher training where required. Such training and collateral must reflect the context and requirements of the individual business the training is being prepared for and delivered to. This role will report into the Training Manager of CDER Group and can be based in any of our offices but will require extensive travel to each of our CDER Group sites. A significant feature of this role will be to work as part of CDER migration project teams to onboard varying businesses onto the Edge platform.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work alongside process-owners in CDER Group companies who do not currently use Edge to understand their operating processes and then scope, plan, design, create and deliver training that will support the successful transition of that company to using Edge in a manner that is aligned with business requirements, and best practices. It is expected that this will require the trainer to spend the majority of their working week in the office(s) of the CDER Group company who is adopting Edge for two to four months
  • Develop comprehensive training collateral and programs for Edge tailored to meet the operational needs of various departments and levels of expertise within all CDER Group companies
  • Conduct training sessions for new recruits (field and office), providing them with the necessary skills to use the Edge collection platform effectively, efficiently, and safely
  • Deliver refresher training sessions periodically to ensure staff maintain proficiency with the platform
  • Work closely with the Change and UAT teams to stay updated on new features and functionalities of Edge, their use and business application and develop/update training materials and user guidance to introduce these updates to staff and how they should be applied to the operational processes.
  • Research and understand the business use and intricacies of Edge to continuously improve the accuracy and effectiveness of training tailored to the specific business user/business function
  • Assess trainees’ understanding of and proficiency with the platform and provide constructive feedback and coaching as necessary
  • Provide guidance and support to staff members encountering challenges or requiring additional assistance with Edge

Experience Required

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in technical training development and delivery, in a business application context
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs for software applications to business users
  • Experience in developing training materials, manuals, and guides to a broad range of users
  • Experience of mastering a new and highly complex IT software system in the absence of a formal set of training materials through documentation, work shadowing, experimentation and dialogue with experienced users
  • Experience of improving processes using appropriate technology

Desirable

  • Operational experience of Edge across a range of functional areas
  • Understanding of the Enforcement (Civil & High Court) and Debt Collection sector

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to engage and captivate an audience
  • Proficiency in utilising various training methods and techniques
  • Ability to adapt training content to different learning styles and levels of expertise

Fleet and Vehicle Asset Manager

Position: Fleet and Vehicle Asset Manager

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm

Introduction

The Fleet and Vehicle Asset Manager is responsible for ensuring that all vehicles and associated equipment issued to CDER employees is fully operational and well maintained, this will include all CDER Group lease vehicles, ANPR equipment, tracking systems, fixed camera equipment including dashcams, fuel cards, and associated health and safety equipment. The responsibilities include auditing drivers’ compliance with lease agreement, associated policies, health and safety, and keeping costs down to optimum levels whist recovering any revenues associated. As Fleet Manager, you will act as a central point of contact between fleet users, internal departments, and suppliers whilst ensuring that all vehicles are insured, legal, roadworthy, and operated in accordance with current legislation and regulations. This will include recommending, ordering and distribution of vehicles from acquisition to disposal and the coordinating of and upkeep of vehicle maintenance. The Fleet and Vehicle Asset Manager will also be tasked with on-road audit of vehicles and equipment as required.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Procure and negotiate the purchase of fleet vehicles in line with current business requirements
  • Regularly review the terms and conditions of supplier agreements and challenge or put out to market when required
  • Coordinate, record, administer and monitor the maintenance, repair, replacement and logistics of company vehicles
  • Maintain up to date records of hire for all fleet vehicles and recharged where appropriate
  • Ensure optimum numbers of vehicles are held by CDER (no excess spare vehicles)
  • Ensure an up-to-date record of fuel card allocation and an audit of out of ordinary spend
  • Ensure all fleet vehicles have in date tax and MOT, with up-to-date records kept
  • Risk assess new drivers using an appropriate online system e.g. DVLA/Licence Bureau, licence check and repeat at a frequency based on risk and in-line with company policy and FORS
  • Driver risk assessment for those who might advise at the start or who develop ailments whilst in employment, this may be required to be undertaken out in the field
  • Ensure vehicles are registered for all required road charging schemes
  • Ensure all drivers/vehicles are registered with our insurers and recharged where appropriate
  • Regularly review and update vehicle fleet related policies at least bi-annually
  • Where incident/collision happens, ensure full report (including photographic evidence) is obtained from the driver to assist with any insurance claims, liaising with HR, line managers and solicitors/insurance providers, where appropriate
  • Monitoring and reporting of vehicle overspeed and unexpected vehicle usage.
  • Preparation of evidence as requested by internal and external audit
  • Recording and reporting of vehicle emissions and recommendation on how to reduce emissions as part of CDER’s Carbon Reduction Plan and ISO accreditation program
  • Produce weekly/monthly/ad-hoc accurate reports and figures as required by the business
  • Ensure preventive programs are delivered to drivers and monitor post-incident/collision performance.
  • Maintain management of FORS accreditation, including latest standard and facilitation of audit
  • Provide regular updates on changes to vehicle legislation and DVLA changes
  • Create and provide (where appropriate) training on items such as winter driving etc., from a duty of care standpoint
  • To Assist (or lead) the solicitors in preparation of legal responses to prosecutions in relation to fleet.
  • Issue of associated driver/vehicle H&S equipment including; first aid kit and fire extinguishers
  • General management responsibilities e.g. holiday approval, rota organisation, recruitment etc.
  • Addressing and dealing with staff relations issues
  • Maintain an up-to-date Fleet Management system
  • Coordinate, record and monitor the maintenance, repair and replacement of ANPR equipment
  • Liaise with IT on ANPR software compatibility requirements
  • Coordinate, record and monitor the installation, maintenance, repair and replacement of tracking equipment either fixed or portable
  • Ad-hoc requests from the Executive team where applicable
  • Submit Fleet incident, collision, damage and PCN report, to include trend analysis
  • Work with finance and operations to correctly allocate and charge PCN’s appropriately.
  • Additional duties as may be required by the business.

Personal qualities, experience and skills

  • Good level of education including GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C or above is essential
  • IT literate, proficient in Microsoft Office Packages

The certificated Enforcement Agent role is to locate vehicles using our ANPR system and database and negotiate payment with the customer. The role reports to the ANPR Enforcement Manager.

Lasting for approximately 10-12 weeks, you will be paid a salary throughout the training period.   • Adhere to Enforcement industry legislation, particularly the Laws Tribunals Courts & Enforcement Act 2007 and Taking Control of Goods, Commercial Rent Arrears Recovery, The Certification of Enforcement Agents Regulations 2014

Client Liaison and Support Officers provide a vital role for CDER group in supporting Client Managers in ensuring the delivery of a first-rate service to our clients. Responsibilities

  • Provide telephone, email and web-access support to our clients ensuring client requests are recorded and cases updated accordingly or escalated and monitored for timely resolution
  • Review and distribute weekly and monthly performance reports to clients
  • Compile and distribute weekly and monthly remit reports to clients.
  • Facilitate the production of ad-hoc client reports, special requests, and statistical information
  • Monitor the timely dispatch of client remittances
  • Ensure invoice and remittance queries are responded to correctly and without delay
  • Support the Client Managers in the provision of information and reports required for performance review meetings and the subsequent action of any minuted requests/queries
  • Ensure refund requests and complaints via the client are processed within the agreed timescales.
  • Manage client concerns and compliments and escalate these to the relevant Client Managers
  • Maintain excellent communication lines across departments to ensure client specifications and contract conditions are understood and adhered to
  • Work and contribute towards the development of an effective and productive team structure and share best practice with colleagues

Personal qualities, experience and skills

  • A minimum of 1-year customer service or client relationship management experience is essential with a passion for excellent customer service
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent telephone and people skills with a friendly and outgoing nature
  • Self-motivated with great time and priority management – understands importance of deadlines
  • Excellent numeracy and IT skills (particularly Excel, Word)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of the client debt process, different debt types, enforcement law and company enforcement process (training provided)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring call centre and field agent activity is in-line with applicable legislation and regulations, company policy, procedures and that of data protection
  • Reviewing the audio and Body Worn Video footage of field agents and auditing the interaction during the visit against a set of criteria
  • Reviewing the transcription and Audio recordings of call centre operators and scoring against a set of criteria
  • To complete agent audits using a risk-based approach
  • Complete accurate audit reports on each review activity
  • Identifying any non-conformance and complete appropriate report on findings
  • Review and cross reference visits and call notes where appropriate as part of the investigation
  • Communicate findings to department Line Managers based on outcome.
  • Download Generate evidence where required.
  • Identify trends and make recommendations for mitigating risk.
  • Participation in team briefings, to review the auditing processes and ensure consistency of approach.
  • Undertake such training as required to ensure all potential risks to the business are identified and resolved.
  • Contribute to departmental continuous improvement including recommending best practice.
  • Additional company department audits determined through expansion of the compliance programme.
  • Other associated duties that the business may require in fulfilment of its compliance obligations.

Responsibilities

  • Issue receipts for all payments received and to inform courts of all payments taken
  • Where necessary, to convey persons named on the warrants to courts, police stations or HMP
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and update handheld devices on actions taken
  • Undertake any training necessary for the role including but not limited to, tactical communication, conflict management and breakaway techniques
  • Follow Approved Enforcement Agencies and Prisoner Escorted Contracts Awarded (AEA/PECS) protocol
  • Review and update risk assessments, highlighting concerns to ensure a proportionate response

  • Comply with all body worn video (BWV) training and compliance
  • Carry out any other tasks as required in connection with the service, execution or return of warrants, summonses, orders, and notices, including obtaining and reporting information regarding the customer and/or the actions taken in executing a warrant
  • Prepared to work warrants within Regions across England to meet client demands
  • Prepared to work varied times of the day to meet the needs of the warrant
