Introduction

This role supports the business and a subsidiary part of the CDER Group whilst also supporting the wider IT team. This role reports into the Edge Support Manager and provides technical support of the Edge collection platform to end users as well as responding to incidents, alerts, and system performance issues.

The Application Support Technician will respond quickly and effectively to support requests from users, clients, and partners.  These will be reported and logged through our ticketing system, Jira, and the candidate will work alongside local and remote technical staff to ensure that every inquiry receives a timely and quality service.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for basic/common requests relating to the Edge platform.
  • Provide technical support handling more complex tasks that require more technical knowhow, deeper analysis, and possible changes to system configurations.
  • Investigate and provide analysis of issues for escalation to our external 3rd line developer support where required.
  • Record all conversations and findings on a ticket within the Jira service desk platform.
  • Raise configuration change or development requests to relevant teams.
  • Respond to problem tickets effectively, diagnose the cause of the issue, remediation action required, capture lessons learned and provide solutions for monitoring and mitigating recurrence.

  • Assist in providing training to end users.
  • Effective triage and root cause analysis to determine the most appropriate corrective action when issues with Edge processing are identified.

  • React to the relevant validator alert, investigate and analyse the issue and resolve it as well as determining long term solutions to fix the problem at source.

  • Fix, remove or minimise issues by optimising the way in which the business uses Edge.
  • Identify, document, and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure the correct and timely functioning of all Edge processes.
  • Create and monitor system dashboards ensuring business processes are working as expected, identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or capacity issues.

Personal qualities, experience and skills

  • Good level of education including GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C or above is essential
  • College or University education in IT, Software Development or similar.
  • IT literate, proficient in Microsoft Office Packages
  • Customer service skills demonstrating empathy and patience.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Competent in writing technical documentation.
  • Good SQL writing skills for data retrieval and report creation.
  • At least 2 years previous experience providing technical support.
  • Experience of configuring and implementing new processes
  • Capacity to work effectively whilst remaining calm under pressure

Position: System Trainer

CDER Group use a bespoke case and customer management system (Edge) to manage collections for our clients. We are currently looking for a dynamic, fun, and experienced System Trainer to join our expanding Group Training Department who will develop and deliver Edge system training into Group companies adopting Edge for the first time.

As a system trainer, you will be required to develop a good understanding of Edge and each CDER business requirements to create, produce and deliver training solutions for both new recruits and refresher training through effective training needs analysis. A significant feature of this role will be to work as part of the CDER migration project team to onboard varying businesses onto the Edge platform.

The role is flexible and can be located at our Darlington or Bolton office, and with Hybrid working there is also flexibility to work some days from home.

  • Reporting to the Group Training Manager, the System Trainer develops, delivers and maintains the business Edge system training portfolio. From new employee onboarding to ongoing development, the system trainer provides a tailored learning experience for all group audiences based on business and learner needs.
  • A confident communicator the system trainer demonstrates good stakeholder management, building relationships with Edge system SME’s, product owners, customers and learners. The system trainer competently produces effective learning proposals to facilitate the successful implementation of all Edge system process training interventions.
  • An eye for design and a firm grasp of the training cycle, the System Trainer competently develops new and exciting system training content that is relevant and on-trend in today’s evolving training demands.
  • A passionate facilitator, the System Trainer confidently adapts their delivery style from classroom to virtual, embracing not only different training delivery vehicles but also introducing new and exciting accelerated learning techniques, to enhance and improve learner experiences.
  • The system trainer is responsible for the continuous evaluation of all implemented training solutions. Measuring effectiveness through a range of feedback and retention tools, the system trainer will competency report solution effectiveness and business return on investment.

Certificated ANPR Enforcement Agent

Position: Certificated ANPR Enforcement Agent

Our certificated Enforcement Agents enforce warrants and liability orders for Local and Central Government as well as commercial clients. The certificated Enforcement Agent role is to locate vehicles using our ANPR system and database and negotiate payment with the customer. The role reports to the ANPR Enforcement Manager.

  • Adhere to Enforcement industry legislation, particularly the Laws Tribunals Courts & Enforcement Act 2007 and Taking Control of Goods, Commercial Rent Arrears Recovery, The Certification of Enforcement Agents Regulations 2014
  • Meet with an Enforcement Agent mentor in a timely fashion when undertaking “work shadowing” activities
  • Attend addresses, alongside a certificated Enforcement Agent and observe Taking Control of Goods if payment is not made

CDER is looking for enthusiastic, experienced individuals to join our enforcement team.

Our certificated Enforcement Agents enforce warrants and liability orders for various local authorities and commercial clients. The certificated Enforcement Agent’s role is to take control of goods to cover the amount a debtor owes.

The role reports to an Enforcement Manager and is based in the field.

If you are an existing Certificated Enforcement Agent, we will start issuing you work as soon as you have completed your CDER induction. In addition to generous commission rates, we will also pay you an additional commission payment for confirming that debtors have gone away (GANT). The position of the Arrest Officer plays an important role within CDER Group. You will be responsible for delivering a professional arrest service by the effective and efficient execution of arrest warrants.

Arrest Officers are required to visit customers at the addresses stated on warrants to obtain payment in full, execute warrants by arrest, arrest and bail or arranging a voluntary surrender. Where a customer is not present, you shall gather and submit relevant intelligence, making local enquiries to locate and effectively execute the warrant.

Responsibilities

  • Issue receipts for all payments received and to inform courts of all payments taken
  • Where necessary, to convey persons named on the warrants to courts, police stations or HMP
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and update handheld devices on actions taken
  • Undertake any training necessary for the role including but not limited to, tactical communication, conflict management and breakaway techniques
  • Follow Approved Enforcement Agencies and Prisoner Escorted Contracts Awarded (AEA/PECS) protocol
  • Review and update risk assessments, highlighting concerns to ensure a proportionate response
  • Ensure post incident procedures are followed
  • Comply with all body worn video (BWV) training and compliance
  • Carry out any other tasks as required in connection with the service, execution or return of warrants, summonses, orders, and notices, including obtaining and reporting information regarding the customer and/or the actions taken in executing a warrant
  • Prepared to work warrants within Regions across England to meet client demands
  • Prepared to work varied times of the day to meet the needs of the warrant

Personal qualities, experience and skills

  • Articulate, numerate and able to communicate and interact with others at all levels
  • Ability to manage conflict
  • High level of self-motivation and able to work between 6am and 9pm
  • Ability to manage and organise large volumes of warrants to meet KPI’s

  • Full UK driving licence

Contact Centre Agent – Full and Part Time Positions Available

Position: Contact Centre Agent

Hours: Full Time (35 hours) or Part Time

Shifts: Varying shift patterns between hours of 8am and 8pm

Location: Darlington

Salary: £22,000 basic + uncapped commission (£12.09 per hour) OTE £26,000

Contract: Permanent

Your Responsibilities:

  • Answering Calls: Ensure incoming telephone calls are answered promptly and responses are in line with company guidelines and procedures.
  • Adhering to Guidelines: Ensure responses adhere to all applicable internal and external guidelines.
  • Providing Feedback: Provide feedback to the Contact Centre Team Leader on the volume and type of cases being handled.
  • Logging Calls: Use appropriate systems to maintain accurate records for both clients and customers.
  • Negotiating Solutions: Balance the needs of customers with those of CDER Group to negotiate effective solutions

Introduction

CDER is looking for enthusiastic, experienced individuals to join our enforcement team.

Our certificated Enforcement Agents enforce warrants and liability orders for various local authorities and commercial clients. The certificated Enforcement Agent’s role is to take control of goods to cover the amount a debtor owes. The role reports to the Head of Enforcement and is based in the field.

If you are an existing Certificated Enforcement Agent, we will start issuing you work as soon as you have completed your CDER induction. In addition to generous commission rates, we will also pay you an additional commission payment for confirming that debtors have gone away (GANT). We are the only enforcement company in the industry to offer this reward. We will also provide you with continuous support, training and development throughout your career with CDER Group.

Responsibilities

  • Attend addresses as indicated on the liability order/warrant of control and remove goods if payment is not made following company procedures and completing necessary documentation at all times or, discuss a suitable arrangement which complies with client and company guidelines
  • Identify if a debtor is in a vulnerable category and if so make an appropriate payment arrangement
  • Complete case reports upon request, using company standard report
  • Add notes, photos and fees from each visit to the case management system correctly
  • Be at the first address at the ‘prime collection time’ of 6am each day
  • Comply with company and client policies and procedures
  • Adhere to National Standards
  • Ensure all company equipment including vehicles are maintained and report accidents, equipment problems etc according to company procedures
  • Use Body Worn Video (BWV) and download footage daily via WIFI
  • Participate in training and development as and when required
  • Complete all Enforcement types at company request

Personal qualities, experience and skills

  • Certificated Enforcement Agent by a county court
  • Confident, self-motivated, trustworthy and organised
  • Competent computer skills
  • Good judge of character
  • Being physically able to lift and remove goods
  • Have an excellent knowledge of Enforcement Agent Laws
  • Be able to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent people skills
  • Excellent conflict management and conflict resolution skills
  • Be able to work alone or as part of a small team
